Forest plants
When growing trees and other plants associated with forestry, our core focus lies in the quality and origin of the seeds in compliance with the regulations of the Forstvermehrungsgutgesetzes (FoVG). But we go beyond  these regulations as we grow plants with special heritage, the growing of which is controlled by the Gütegemeinschaft für Forstliches Vermehrungsgut e.V. (DKV) thus providing the best reproductive material available on the market.

Christmas trees
Neither Nordmann fir nor Blue spruce are governed by the FoVG (German law for the production of forest plants) but this does not make quality assurance less crucial.

Over 100 years of experience in obtaining the best provinances of the  seed-stands enables us to ensure a continuity of high quality Christmas trees.

Landscaping groves
The Schrader Group operates to very high national standards in its nurseries and is thus allowed to present its products and services with the seal “Deutsche Markenbaumschule”.

In addition, the quality of our plants is subjected to the following governing bodies and regulations:

-          Erzeugergemeinschaft für autochthone Baumschulerzeugnisse in Bayern (EAB)
   (Bavaria)

-          Verein zur Förderung gebietsheimischer Gehölze im Land Brandenburg

-          Erzeugergemeinschaft zur Erzeugung von standortheimischen Gehölzen (ESB-SH)

Seed harvest

Our involvement  in the harvesting of seeds enables us to guarantee the purity of the plants we distribute.

By storaging large quantities of seeds we ensure the continuity and sustainability of our production. This further allows us to ensure the continuous supply of plants over many years.

This also serves the interest of the forest owners because they can rely on a sustainable and dynamic population of plants for their plantations.

Contract growing
Another factor to ensure the origin of seeds is through contract growing (diversification).

Seeds are distributed from the forest owners,  so the origin of the seed is choosen exactly for the specific area of the replanting site ( throughout member tree nurseries and grown on their behalf. Through the diversification, continuity of a culture is assured. )

This model has a history of over fifty years and has  proven to be successful throughout the North of Germany and the Swedish government.

Forest services
To increase our flexibility to our customers we offer a wide array of secondary or supporting services to ensure the success of the plantations of our customers throughout Germany.

For example we protect the area which is to be planted by fencing them to avoid animals decimating the new plantings; we prepare the soil, we carry out the planting itself, and of course we care for the plants once planted.
